CORBIN BLEU

Pop-Culturist interview with Corbin about Ovid

CORBIN BLEU (Ovid) comes from an extensive background in film, television, and theatre. He is probably best known for his character Chad Danforth in Disney’s Emmy Award-winning High School Musical franchise. He was recently seen on Broadway alongside Kelli O’Hara & Will Chase in the Tony-nominated production of Kiss Me, Kate as Bill Calhoun/Lucentio (Drama Desk and Chita Rivera nominations). Broadway Credits: Holiday Inn (Ted Hanover, Chita Rivera Award), Godspell (Jesus), In The Heights (Usnavi). Regional Credits Include: Anything Goes (Billy Crocker, Helen Hayes Award), Mamma Mia! (Sky), Hairspray (Seaweed). Bleu recently received the Entertainer of the Year Award from the Tremaine National Gala honoring his work in the dance industry. In 2013 he partnered with Karina Smirnoff as the runners-up on ABC’s Dancing with the Stars. Bleu has also established himself as a television host personality. JOHN SAVAGE

JOHN SAVAGE`s (Augustus) major screen debut in 1978 – the Oscar-winning Best Picture film The Deer Hunter – gained him international attention. The following year, he played leading roles in three major motion pictures: The Godfather III, Milos Forman`s legendary musical Hair, and the film adaptation of Joseph Wambaugh`s The Onion Field. Other prominent roles include the films Salvador (1986), The Last Full Measure (2019), In Dubious Battle (2016), and the television shows Goliath (2016), Twin Peaks (2017), and Dark Angel (2000). He was nominated for Best Actor in a Foreign Film for his work in The Amateur.

TARA SUMMERS

TARA SUMMERS (Julia the Elder) is a British-American actress and playwright whose film credits include Wanderland, Factory Girl, The Lake Effect, Alfie, What a Girl Wants, and Major Arcana. She was a series regular on PBS’s Mercy Street, ABC’s Boston Legal, Fox’s Rake, and CBS’s Ringer, and had recurring roles on Strangers, Stalker, Madam Secretary, Damages, Sons of Anarchy, and AMC’s Dietland. Summers wrote, produced, and starred in the one-woman autobiography Gypsy of Chelsea at Studio 54 in New York, the Hudson in Los Angeles, and the Royal Court in London. She starred in the Broadway production of the West End hit Ink and in Tom Stoppard’s The Hard Problem at Lincoln Center.

 
 

TAMARA FELDMAN

TAMARA FELDMAN (Julia the Younger) is an actress/writer/director who loves playing music, traveling and riding horses. She is a native of Kansas who moved to Los Angeles to pursue acting after being cast off the street for her first project. One of her first acting jobs was on the longtime WB hit Smallville. That quickly led to multiple television appearances including recurring roles on Gossip Girl and Dirty Sexy Money. Amara has also appeared in several films such as Perfect Stranger with Bruce Willis and Halle Berry and starred in the movie Rez Bomb which earned her a best actress award at the Red Nation Film Awards. She also got to realize her dreams of being an action star on the set of Echelon Conspiracy where she worked alongside Ving Rhames, Martin Sheen and Ed Byrnes. In recent years, Tamara has made guest appearances on the CW's Switched at Birth as well as CSI: Crime Scene Investigation on CBS. This year she has been working a pivotal role on her second season of CBS All Access's Strange Angel where she plays Joan, the High Priestess of a sex cult.

GREG JOHNSON, Executive Producer, is a veteran of twenty-five years as an industry executive and independent feature film producer (including Wayne Wang’s Smoke and Noah Baumbach’s The Squid and the Whale). His films have premiered at the Cannes, Sundance, and Berlin Festivals and have been nominated for Golden Globe and Academy Awards.

JARED SAFIER, Executive Producer, is a four-time Emmy Award-Winning producer who has produced a variety of films and series with numerous Oscar, Emmy and Golden Globe winning actors and actresses. Jared is a member of the Producers Guild of America and the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences.

ESMÉ VON HOFFMAN, Writer-director, is an award-winning filmmaker with a background in theater, journalism, and visual arts, who brings a fresh aesthetic to film. She has produced and directed several short narratives and a series of short documentaries, including one profiling three editors at the New York Times. Previously, she worked as a producer for the Food Network and a film editor on such films as Listen Up Philip with Jason Schwartzman and Elisabeth Moss, and Appropriate Behavior with Scott Adsit and Halley Feiffer. Esmé was president of the Yale Film Society, where she oversaw visits of industry leaders including David Lynch, Alexander Payne, and Doug Wick. 

GEOFF GEORGE, Cinematographer, is a camera professional from Detroit, Michigan. As a director of photography, he is known for the contemporary and cutting-edge look he has brought to features, shorts, and music videos. As a fine-art photographer, he has explored historic industrial sites across North America and Europe, and exhibited in Detroit, New York City, and Turin. He graduated from the University of Michigan with a degree in filmmaking and cinematography.
